Arul Dev

Founder CEO

Arul Dev – an Author, Radiant Universal Leader coach TM and Integral Educator, has been in the field of leadership, education and human resources consulting for the last 21 years. An engineer from BITS Pilani, he founded People First Consultants, a human resources consultancy in Chennai, India in 1995, where he plays the role of Founder CEO.

Arul Dev is a specialized Radiant Universal Leader Coach ™ with an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) ™ certification from the International Coach Federation. He coaches select hand picked Radiant Universal Leaders ™ who are a) nearing a state of Universe Centeredness, b) aspiring to create purpose & value centered organizations/ communities that can create some global contribution to humanity through their work and c) intending to accomplish this agenda through transformation of collective culture at micro and macro level. The prerequisite to begin this coaching journey with Arul is that the leader is already at a good degree of competency in their personal mastery and self-awareness.

Arul Dev is a masterful Learning & Development facilitator with a rich industry experience of 21 years. His primary work is enabling leaders to master the art of Self Leadership, Team Leadership and Culture Evolution. In his workshops and interventions, leaders learn the art of becoming self-aware, sensing their inner presence, discovering their life purpose, core values and signature strengths and crafting their personal development plans for inner change and evolution. Leaders reflect and learn how to guide/ inspire their team members to discover their purpose, values and strengths and create a team space where the collective strengths are heightened and balanced. He coaches and mentors leaders to sense culture qualities present in the collective, enable team members to discover ‘sweet spots’ between their individual and organizational values and harmonize culture conflicts that may be present in the organization.

Arul Dev heads the Talent Acquisition division of People First Consultants, a 21-year experienced human resources consultancy. His specialization here is to enable the company’s hand picked clients to grow, by sourcing competent talent who are an asset to the organization’s culture. He drives recruitment excellence for clients in multiple sectors across India.
Arul Dev is a visionary in the field of Integral Education. His mission is to inspire educators and teachers to inculcate Inspiring and Integral Education methodologies in their institutions. He is a guest faculty at IIT Madras for the ‘Self Awareness’ and ‘Integral Karmayoga’ semester courses for the last five years. He is also a guest faculty for SAHGE (Self Awareness and Higher Goals in Education) five-day teachers course in IIT Madras. He coaches and mentors teachers and students to explore the path of Integral Education. His specialty is the experiential labs he conducts on Integral Change, Education and Integral Development.

He is a co-founder of Telos Model, an Integral map and tool of inner consciousness. He is the founder of the Integral Inner Presence Model, InPres ™ tool and InStrengths Individual™, which helps people to become aware of and develop their Inner Presence.

He is the author of the book ‘Into Great Depth of your Being’, which facilitates an inner experience and exploration in Self Awareness and Integral Development.

Uma Narayanan

Director - Learning & Organizational Development Services

Since April 2016 Uma Narayanan is a Director of People First Consultants, a 21-year Human Resources Consulting Firm. She heads the HR and Finance function for the organization. She leads the Learning & Development and Research services, primarily focusing on ‘Integral Inner Presence’ and ‘Being’ research, which also forms part of her doctoral research at IITM. An ardent learner, she is passionate about individual change and transformation that is positive, holistic and aligned to one’s unique self and rhythm. Prior to People First she has a 10-year stint in the corporate learning and development space for Ford (India & Asia Pacific). Her last held position was Manager - Learning and Development, Asia Pacific, primarily responsible for Leadership & Professional Development strategy and programs where her facilitation/ training experiences spanned across India, China, Thailand, Vietnam and Indonesia. Her experience here included learning solutions design, delivery and train the trainer - specifically designing blended leadership development interventions over time. In terms of facilitation, her areas of expertise ranges from behavioral /professional development skills, supervisory skills, leadership development programs, to facilitating OD interventions across new leader transitions, team effectiveness and change interventions. She has also led L& D cycle, program management, process and technology as part of her portfolio. Her niche skills lie in understanding and translating the needs of the business into the right interventions and in designing facilitated group work. As a certified coach, she offers her services to organizations and individuals as a leadership and personal transformation coach. She provides coaching space to leaders and individuals who want to bring out their best potential at work and in their life. She uses the Life Fulfillment Coaching Methodology in her coaching and is a Certified Leadership and Life Coach from Coach for Life™. She holds a post-graduate in HRD Psychology. She is a certified NLP Master Practitioner, certified MBTI Administrator and a certified EUM profiler. A facilitator, educator and coach, her interest and pursuit are to bring about an applicable framework/ practice of holistic development for leaders and individuals.

I am a faculty with the Department of Management Studies, Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) in the broad area of Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Development. My current teaching and research themes of interest are in the following areas: a) Building Women Empowerment (Entrepreneurship and Building Empowerment for Women) b) Teaching, Learning, and Education (Holistic Education, Contemporary Teaching and Learning Beliefs and Practices) c) Positive Organizational Behavior (topics include Generating Positivity in the Workplace, Happiness and Work, Finding Meaning in Work Strength-Based Approach to Work, Discovering Calling, Humor in the Workplace, Integral Leadership Development) d) Workplace Emotions (Emotional Contagion, Emotional Social Competence), e) Cross-Cultural Management (Well-Being and Perspectives of Happiness, The Meaning of Work, Holistic Education Across Cultures) f) Creativity, Innovation Capability of Firms, The Learning Organization g) Ancient Indian Wisdom (Spirituality in the Workplace, Indian Perspectives in Management). I am involved in projects that strive to create a positive and transformative ripple effect among Women Entrepreneurs (Small and Medium Scale Entrepreneurs) and empowering them. I work in the area of Qualitative research (with my research students in the area of Education, Mindfulness, and Positive Organizational Behavior). I am also involved in projects in education: Integral or Holistic Education that connects with the Faculty, the Learner, and the Administration. I also work in close synergy with the Industry in Psychometric Assessment (Transactional Analysis and Neuro-Linguistic Programming) and understanding the Individual Dynamics in Organizations (through programs aimed at inner reflection and transformation). As part of the larger system, I round off my activities with work in the field of Development and Transformation of the Youth, among others. My goal for this period (2017-2018) is to spend my energies in contributing to the overall wellbeing of women entrepreneurs, school children, Indian Police Force and Indian Armed Forces.

Anto Vincent

Anto Vincent is an empowerment coach, passionate trainer, counsellor, and youth guide. Gold Medallist from Madras School of Social Work during his PG program in Human Resource Management, Anto Vincent has well over three decades of experience with corporate giants like Union Carbide, MRF, Alsthom India and Ford India. He was the country head for HR in Alsthom India and first Indian Vice President for Ford India. At Ford India he installed HR policies, systems and practices for the green field site and initiated Corporate Citizenship projects. His passion for social work led him to be associated with Community College movement in India, a drive to empower youth. This association, spanning over sixteen years, enriched his knowledge and understanding of curriculum development process. He was instrumental in revamping and re-designing the learning strategies and curriculum development aimed at value enhancement. To gain mastery of these strategies and to experience hands-on practical implications, Anto Vincent took up leadership assignment in an educational venture, wholly innovative. Anto Vincent is associated with Indian Centre for Research and Development in Community Education as Master Trainer of life skills. He was the moderator in a recently held International Conference on Curriculum Development of Indian Community Colleges. He led a campus transformational initiative for a leading University in Tamilnadu, coaching members of faculty and administrators right up to the Chancellor. He is the founder and Principal Servant of Social Empowerment Movement - EYES, Empower Youth, Educate Society. Anto Vincent is the author of the upcoming book, “Leadership, Excellence and You”. He has conceived and developed two original models namely, “Empowering Leadership” and “Leadership Excellence”. He is wedded to his passionate dream of empowering youth, ushering in a joyous world of brotherhood and integrity.
